Lydia Marbach has been a professional dancer with Rochester City Ballet since 2017. Originally from Kingwood, Texas, she trained with a pre-professional company before launching her professional career. She has performed at Regional Dance America festivals and toured internationally on the Young! Tanzsommer Tour through Austria, Germany, and Italy.

Lydia holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Arizona, where she performed works by renowned choreographers including Christopher Wheeldon, George Balanchine, Ohad Naharin, and Ben Stevenson. In addition to performing, she shares her love of dance by teaching and choreographing for both young and adult dancers, aiming to inspire creativity and confidence in every class.

In 2022, Lydia became a certified Pilates instructor through Evolution Pilates in Pittsford, NY. Her sessions blend thoughtful movement, anatomical awareness, and a warm, encouraging approach to help clients feel strong, supported, and more connected to their bodies.

When she’s not dancing or teaching, Lydia enjoys rock climbing and hiking — finding energy and balance both in the studio and out in nature.
